IR cancels Warrior upgrade but moves forward with Challenger 3

The second part of the Integrated Review stated that the British Army would progress with the Ajax and Boxer procurement and the Challenger 2 upgrade. At the same time, the MoD terminated the Warrior upgrade programme.
The second part of the UK Integrated Review (IR) of Security, Defence, Development and Foreign Policy sealed the fate of the Warrior Capability Sustainment Programme (WCSP).
Meanwhile, other British Army armoured vehicle programmes were spared the axe.
'We will no longer upgrade Warrior but it will remain in service until replaced by Boxer, which we expect to happen by the middle of this decade,' the MoD stated in its Command Paper called 'Defence in a competitive age'.
Despite the demise of Warrior WCSP, the army will progress with the acquisition of Ajax and Boxer as well as the Challenger 2 upgrade.
